How does CelGro™ work? 

CelGro™ 's strength, compatibility and tissue guiding qualities are central to its effectiveness as a regenerative medical device. CelGro™ augments repair, protects the area of injury and guides the healing process. A bioactive chamber is created by CelGro™ 's natural bilayer structure, which features smooth and rough sides.

1. Smooth layer - parallel arrangement of densely packed collagen bundles with abundant pores that permit the passage of fluids and nutrient molecules, whilst preventing the invasion of external tissue into the site of tissue bone regeneration.

2. Rough layer - consists of loosely arranged collagen bundles facilitating integration of cells. It is applied to the tissue/defect site.

3. Tissue remodelling - cells from the regenerating tissue integrate with the collagen fibres guiding high quality tissue regeneration.
